Beloved Wife, Ministry Partner, and Best Friend

My Beloved Clement

A tribute to my husband, partner, and best friend of 20 wonderful years

My Dearest Pastor Clement, words fail me as I try to express the depth of my love, my grief, and my gratitude for the life we shared. Today, my heart is heavy, yet it also clings to the unshakable hope that you are resting in the arms of our Savior, Jesus Christ. You fought the good fight, you finished the race, and you kept the faith: now, your crown of righteousness awaits (2 Timothy 4:7-8).

From the moment God brought us together, I knew I was walking alongside a man after His own heart. You were not just my husband but my spiritual leader, my confidant, and my greatest encourager. You loved me as Christ loves the Church; sacrificially, tenderly, and without condition. And oh, how you loved our precious children, Jones, Praise, Efe and Ejiro. You showed them what it means to serve God with passion, to lead with humility, and to love without limits. They will carry your legacy forward, just as you carried the legacy of Christ in everything you did.

I will forever cherish the memories of our laughter, our late-night talks about Scripture, the way you'd pray over our home, and even the moments when life was hard, but we held onto God, and each other, through it all. You made every ordinary day feel like a blessing, and every trial an opportunity to trust Jesus more.

The church you shepherded, the lives you touched, the souls you led to Christ; they all testify to the mighty work God did through you. And though my heart aches with your absence, I rejoice knowing you are where you always longed to be: face-to-face with our King. No more pain, no more tears; only eternal joy in His presence.

Until we meet again, my love, I will hold onto the promise of 1 Thessalonians 4:13-14; we do not grieve as those without hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so, God will bring with Him those who sleep in Jesus.

Thank you for loving us so well. Thank you for pointing us to Christ in every season. Thank you for being a faithful servant, a devoted father, and the love of my life.

I will see you one day, in that glorious place where partings are no more. With all my love, now and always,

Forever yours,
Onome
