Pastor Clement Edafe Oluwafemi Asaba Oghuvwu was born into the Oghuvwu family of Ovieore land of Delta State, Etiope East. He was born to Mr Julius Oghuvwu And Madam Juliana Ayesemitan on 12th September, 1960 in a town called Akila in Ogun water side in the Delta State. His family moved from Akila to Ebiade and later to Epе.
Pastor Clement started his Primary School in Epe Primary School but later attended L.A Primary School in Ovieore in 1972 where he had to start his Primary School all over again. He lived with Chief Ogbe, the Otota of Agbon clan, Etiope East. He later lived with his Aunty, Elizabeth Izobo.
After Primary School, he traveled to Port Harcourt to live with his Uncle called Mr Peter Evwaraye. He attended Secondary School at Okirika Grammar School between 1981-1985 while staying with his Uncle in Port Harcourt. Back in Secondary School, Pastor Clement was involved in a lot of recreational and sporting activities like short and middle distance races and other games like football and hockey. He was a member of the school's hockey team and represented his school in various competitions. He was also skilled in technical and electronics activities and was appointed 'Light Prefect' in his final year in Secondary School. He completed his Secondary School in 1985 with flying colours. After relocating to Ghana, he later attended KNUSTFORD University College in 2012 where he offered Human resource and Accounting.
After completing Secondary School in Port Harcourt, Pastor Clement left Port Harcourt to live in Lagos to work. He worked as a Technician and an Electrician and was an expert in that field. After some years in Lagos, he travelled to Cotonou and finally travelled and settled in Ghana where he stayed till he passed on to glory.
Family Life
Pastor Clement got married to Madam Esther T. Oghuvwu of blessed memory in 1989 and the marriage produced two beautiful children but got separated in 2001. After he moved and settled in Ghana, he got married to his lovely wife, Pastor Rita Korantema Oghuvwu who he affectionately called 'Onome' meaning 'my own' in 2008 with whom he had two adorable children. Pastors Clement and Rita Oghuvwu were happily married and stayed together doing ministry work till Pastor Clement was called to glory.
Ministry & Service
Pastor Clement joined Christ Embassy in the year 2007. He later became a Cell leader of Love Delight Cell. Pastor Clement's love, passion and dedication to ministry work and the things of God made him win an award as the overall best Cell leader and this award was jointly presented to him by The Highly Esteemed Pastor Biodun Lawal and The Highly Esteemed Pastor Earnest Omoleme. His Cell quickly grew in membership and became an Outreach Fellowship in 2008. It later became a Satellite church and then to a church. He pioneered churches and have Satellite churches under him. He won several awards as a Group Pastor. He once won the Top Foundation School graduating church award and also won several Partnership awards.
He headed several committees in different aspects and programs in ministry. He was a member of Security for Night of Bliss Ghana with the Man of God, Pastor Chris. Pastor Clement was ordained in 2016 and was the Group Pastor of Christ Embassy Adenta with these Statellite churches under him; CE Danfa, CE Abokobi, CE Madina Estates and CE Oyibi. He was in active ministry and performed his Pastoral duties as a Group Pastor until his Maker called him to rest.
Departure
Pastor Clement passed on to glory on Friday, 18th April, 2025 which happened to be Good Friday at Provident Specialist Hospital in Accra. He's survived by his wife, Pastor Rita Korantema Oghuvwu and four children (Jones, Praise, Efe and Julie).
